Bila ditanya Consultant...

Assalamulaikum. Lamanya dah tak update blog. Bila baca balik entry lama-lama malu sendiri. Immature nya aku. Hahaha. Rasa nak delete semua. Even terfikir nak buat blog baru. Dengan entry yang lebih matang. Ecehh. But hey akan ambik masa lama sangat la pulak kalau nak buat baru. Kena edit layout bagai. Malas la tittewww. Lol. Ala takpe la. Tu fasa kehidupan kot. Mana boleh terus petik jari dari mature. Kompem la ada fasa pelik-pelik tu kan. I bet in a few years time aku akan gelakkan pulak entry ni. *angkat kening*

Okay. So entry ni nak cerita pasal consultant favorite aku. Bersama soalan high level dia. This is what happened when I was in his clinic last Friday.

Aku sekarang rotation dermatology. Every Tuesday consultant aku ni ada Mohs Micrographics Surgery. Apparently he's the one yang memulakan Mohs surgery kat Ireland ni. Hebat kan? So patients yang undergo surgery that day bukan dari Dublin je. Dari seluruh Ireland la kiranya.

Then, we have this one patient. A guy, around 70+ camtu umur dia. Sementara consultant tengah remove part of his skin tu they have a conversation. Until this one point pakcik ni mentioned pasal pernah pegi Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Yada yada yada sampai la dia cakap, Arabs are very rich but their men can't wear gold. Muslim men can't wear gold. Dr O ni terkejut bila dengar and terus pandang aku. Is that true? And I said yes. Err why is that? I was like errr I'm not sure. Find out why and tell me tomorrow. That's your task.

I didn't see him until I joined his clinic on Friday. And the first thing that he asked was (dengan nada excited)

"So, why Muslim men can't wear gold?"

To be honest, I thought he already forgot about that question. Freeze sekejap klinic tu gara-gara soalan dia. Semua orang pandang kitorang. Dr B (another consultant) yang tengah flip over charts berhenti jugak sebab nak tau. I was like I don't know. This one Malay Reg came to us and asked what was your question again? She tried to answer that by saying because gold are meant for women. Men can't wear that. Not convincing enough. Not for me and obviously not for him. Dan akhirnya Dr O said,

"That is your homework for the weekends. Find out why and tell me next week. There must be a strong reason behind that."

Angguk.

Sepanjang duduk sini tak pernah ditanya soalan macam tu. First time dapat rasa sakit jantung. Haihh. Dah la ilmu cetek. And orang putih ni dorang kalau boleh nak scientific reasons. Macam kalau babi diharamkan, arak diharamkan. Dorang boleh nak paham sebab dorang tau je keburukan benda tu. The thing is Islam bukan agama logik. Bak kata akak senior sorang ni, the first reason is because of Allah. Tak kisah la apa benda pon, kalau Allah suruh kita buat. Sebab kita yakin Allah suruh atau haramkan sesuatu sebab itu yang terbaik untuk kita. Harapnya mampu jawab macam tu esok. Semoga Allah permudahkan. Amin.
